I've just started looking at buying some interconnects to go between a Tag AV32R DP (hopefully) and rotel 1075+1070.

Can anyone recommend any decent cables. Are there any major differences between manufacturers?

Or is a entry level chord better than an equivalently priced QED for example.
I was looking to spend around £40 a pair

    Cheers Ricky

i'm sure that doesn't come close to what you should use with your equipment but I reckon VanDenHul are probably the safest bet at any price.

I've tried a few cables but nothing has beaten my Van Den Hul D-102 III Hybrid cable as yet. It won a What HiFi award but iirc it's slightly over your budget (but worth every £ imo). I also use their Teatrack speaker cable to bi-amp my speakers which I'm very happy with too:)

three pairs of van den hul 102's markIII went for around £40 a pair on ebay the other day, although they wern't listed as hybrids. (does that make a difference)? I have already sorted speaker cable Im using QED silver anniversary (I needed over 50m and its the best I could afford).

So I could get the 102's second hand or QED Qunex 4S new, or chord cobra's new. (for example)

    Opinions??

    Thanks Ricky

    Qunex4s are good interconnects.

Agree with BazH, DNM Bullet stuff is shecht hot. Not particularly cheap circa £80 for a 0.5 metre pair, but the performance from them is stunning. Every interconnect on my hi fi is now this stuff

Their speaker cable is pretty hot as well!

The Precious Metals Coppertech Alpha is only £25 but it is a very good cable indeed- used to be used at a suprising number of our shows until the Marantz/ Audioquest tie in. Mark Grant's analogue interconnects won't be too shabby either.
