Does it have to be 60mm , how about an 80mm?

I've read PAPST are very good but don't know a source. I use Vantecs which are reasonably quiet but can have a tendency to buzz from time to time .. a Zalman Fan Mate usually solves that problem.

60mms are hard to make effective and quiet at the same time sadly. I have an Accent HTPC case which only takes 2 x 60mms at the rear. :(

After a lot of research, I've recently gone for an 80mm SilenX fan for my Xbox, and I agree completely with Jimbob and Chris - I'm amazed at how quiet it is :)

Can one of you Silenx users please tell me where I may find these? I've heard of them but haven't found a supplier so far .. and like cowtipper I must have 60mms.

I use Papst, both regular and temperature controlled.

    http://www.chillblast.com/customer/product.php?productid=16458

The temperature controlled 80mm Papst exhaust fans I've fitted in a P4 3.2 only run at about 500-1000 rpm most of the time, 1400 at most, and are practically inaudible from more than about 6" away

I used sosilent too, cheaper than kustompcs I think. Be aware that the 8dba fan doesn`t really push a lot of air.
