Ok I have a Panasonic LC75E. running on a HCPC with a Radeon 9000 but I'm confused as to the resolutions

the default is given as XGA (1024*768)

    But it will also work at 480i; 625i; 480p; 720p; 1080i

and its these I have a problem with, what do I set my PC resolutions to?

I've looked at powerstrip settings, but am unsure as to which of the multiple options to match these settings to use.

    any help gratefully recieved

Ideally you want to match the native panel display resolution and refresh rate ( normally 60Hz with LCD but not always). If you don't match the panel res then scaling will be taking place which in most cases is less than optimum on the display.

Thanks for the Reply Mr.D. I understand the scaling bit, which would be the XGA (1024*768), but if the projector will run at the given HDTV definitions, and that better suits my screen etc, I can't seem to grasp which I should use? or would these HDTV settings apply to an s-video I/p rather than the 15way dsub?

    Threadkiller,
    read these threads:

    Link two

Those threads contain some explanations, and also instructions on how to get optimum picture settings with a HTPC+projector combination.
