Out on the cliffs today and saw thisis it an invasion of some sort or a large spiders web

Not only spiders build webs, tent caterpillars also build large communal webs. I'm not sure if these occur in your region though. Could you see any creatures in the web?

Revisited the cliff path today to see if I could get any other shots, these are the best I could do, standing amoung gorse with shorts on trying to get close up on these little things is not recommended.These little spiders were about the size of a pin head.

The strange thing is that I must of walked about a mile on the cliff path and it was only in this area that I saw the web?
