    Hi all,

I have finally upgraded my old Yammy YST-SW320 Sub to a nice new SVS PB12-Ultra (hopefully arriving early May)
I am looking to get rid of my old Yammy to a friend of mine (if not, it'll be in the classifieds soon ;))

Thing is, I've only ever run subs from a dedicated home cinema amplifier/receiver.
My friend has no amplifier (although he said he may have an old stereo amplifier, not sure if that would be any help or not) and wanted to use the sub to just give more bass when watching TV. He watches movies through his TV also.
His TV has the standard stereo out, would it work to run a phono cable from one of the stereo outs on the TV to the low level (.1) input on the sub?

I can't think if it would or not?
As i said, i have only run them through a HC Amp.

    Will this work?
If not, any other ideas??? :lease: :D

A 'Y'-cable from the stereo outs into the sub will certainly work but some TVs mute the onboard speakers when anything is attached there.

Alternatly get it on the input side (from the source, so tv and sub are y-slitting the input) althoguh may be more difficult especialy if a scart is being used.
