    Hi there,
    I have a wired network:
wired 4-port router (ADSL connected), connects to PC, Blu Ray player and Wii.
I am about to buy & connect the 4th port to a TP-link WAP to allow tablet access.

Am also about to buy a wireless (as to be located in a different room) all-in-1 printer. Am I right in understanding that the printer will connect to the LAN via the WAP and be available to the PC or any devices connecting via the WAP ?

    Thanks.

In short, yes. Any device on your home LAN should be able to connect to the wirelessly attached printer.

Usually the ADSL router will also function as a WAP; doesn't yours?

No, my present ADSL router is a Netgear wired router, no wireless.
