Can 4K media be played fromm a USB stick plugged into my HDTV?

Hello there!

I have the Samsung NU8000.

If I have a USB stick with 4K video files, does the in built Samsung media player actually play it at 4K or is it downscaled or anything ?

As in can I plug the USB stick straight into the Samsung USB port? Or do I need to use an external player for 4K media

Thanks guys yeah I found out the MOST files are good but something is a limiting factor for some... Aliens remastered plays fine on my PC yet seems to break up every few seconds when played from the USB stick straight into the TV...

Others, arguably more demanding movies like Gemini Man play falwlessly.

9/10 seems fine but I don't know why some are seemingly stuggling, my USB stick is plenty fast enough for example...

The subtitles are also a confusion to me.... Why they insist on starting every single time I don't know.

Use PLEX media server, you can stream various formats over network (wired preferably) and it should work without problems! (lot of encoding types of movies you can download are not supported)
