Question can 3D projectors handle SBS 3D video from PC?

thinking about the viewsonic 7827 and found it's difficult to get an answer online. some say definitely no while others say yes but the refresh rate has to match the video. on my TV (samsung) it gets a 1080p60 signal from my PC and i just hit the 3D button while playing the 2D video, choose SBS iirc and it's smart enough to know what to do.

is this not the case with projectors?

it's SBS i've read specifically that's the problem. i've got the pj now anyways so once amazon can be bothered delivering the stands for my screen i'll get a pair of glasses to test it. think dlp link ones are only £15 or so anyways.

now, gaming in 3D. that I have no idea about as i have AMD not nvidia

I'm running 2 amd 7950s and sbs on pj

Edit just to clarify;

Elite Dangerous has a 3D mode which outputs SBS, I've also done a couple of SBS youtube vids just remember to make full screen ;)
