Niggle with camera is it takes 4AA batteries! Which don't last very long. Any other type of power source for this camera?????? For outdoor use.

Thanks for the replies. Will give them a try! Especially rechargeable ones!

If you're going for rechargables then I would endorse the 7 Day shop Ready 2 Go brand (I have loads) or Sanyo Eneloops both hold up to 85% charge for 12 months.
They don't always have quite the highest mAh capacity of standard rechargables but they don't self drain if you don't use your camera for a while.
In case you don't know the mAh rating is the amount of energy they can store so higher is better.

I was recommended the good to go ones too, but then saw the 2900mah 7 day shop ones. I emailed them about keeping charge as I'd heard the ready to go ones were good at this and 7dayshop told me the 2900 ones hold the charge the same, and possibly slightly better so opted for these :smashin:

I have 3 sets for my flash and when I put the next set in that may have been stood for several weeks/months they always show full charge on the flash unit

I got this camera as a xmas present. Before had a small handheld compact one that only took 2AA batts. But still great pics. My new camera is a bridge camera. Have got some reading material. But love the macro on new camera!

Be interested to see the pics. There's a macro thread in the photo sharing section :smashin:
