Camera for around £100

hi guys

i am hoping some of you can help me out, i have had a canon ixus ??? for some time, it seems to have packed in, keeps saying memory card error. now it barely turns on

anyway, i have decided or rather the missus has ordered me to get a new one as we have a 15 month old son and "we havent taken any pictures of him for ages"

i am looking for a camera for some around £100, (would pay a little over if i had to) as i said its generally for taking family pictures and some holiday pictures, it doesnt have to be a all singing, dancing camera, just the best one for my job.

any advice would be much appreciated

did a quick search and couldnt find a similar thread - aplogise if there is one.

The Canon in the above post looks good, also consider:

Assuming you liked the Canon Ixus you have, how about the Ixus 70 (£115ish on Amazon, possibly slightly cheaper elsewhere).

Or maybe the Fuji F40fd, available for about £100 on line - I think Currys are doing the F47fd which is pretty much the same camera for "half price" (£99-99) in their current sale.
