    Hi
To many this will be a pain question but i am looking at a Canon XM2 & Sony VX2100. Any ideas which one is better, or indeed any others that you may think are better suited.

    My needs are:

I am fairly novice camcorder user.
    Fair bit of PC experience
I need to produce teaching DVD's around 8 hours long

Please help me decide as i cannot afford to make mistakes.

    Many thanks

    Michael

both are good, vx2100 is not enough better than the xm2 to justify the extra cost. With the money you are spending why not look at a Sony FX1 or HC-1 instead. HC1 in particular is a easy camera to use and the HD format is going to be what your customers/users want in 2 years time.
