My DVD89 is just over a year old now and has stopped reading some discs. It will read SACD discs no problem and also (after about one minute reading) full DVD-Movie discs. It won't read DivX anymore unless I insert the disc about 10 times then it finally reads it but otherwise it just spins for 10 minutes and says 'No-Disc'. It has always worked no problem up until recently. Due to the fact it reads other discs after a while I was thinking maybe it's not the laser and something else?

If it is the laser what is the best way to clean it? I'm sure I read somewhere that using the 'cleaning discs' is not a good idea and it's best to open up the machine and clean it manually. I don't know what tools to use to do that though.

    Thanks for any advice
