Cambridge Audio Dacmagic 1 - Operations Manual etc.

Hi folks,

Wondered if anyone can help?

I just got hold of a CA dacmagic 1 mainly as i'm running old cd players and wanted to see if using an external DAC will make a difference; if not i'll sell it on! Also, i'm a bit of a completist in that i'm not satisfied until I've got things sounding as best they can with what i've got.

Apparently this first (?) dacmagic designed by John Westlake of Pink Triangle before he was snaffled by Cambridge is almost good enough to compete with much more recent DACs. Perhaps that's a different forum point?

It has BNC to phono connections but also takes digital. The seller is supplying all of the leads plus threw in an extra one. Reckon it was a decent buy for £85.

Anyhow, I can't for the life of me find any instructions for the DAC online...anywhere. I even contacted Cambridge and they don't have any either!!

Can anyone give me a steer? Not totally essential as it's all pretty straightforward, but fancied getting my hands on the instructions and/or service manual.

Thanks,
A
