Cambridge Audio Azur 540R V2 slight delay

I'm pretty new to all this, and I've had my Azur and Celestion speakers for about a week.

Is it normal to have a slight delay in sound when coming out of 'pause'? For instance, if I pause a film (Oppo DVD player connected via HDMI to Sony LCD, Oppo connected to Azur via Optical) for a moment and then play it again, the video starts but I miss the first one or two words.

Its as though the amp looses its connection for a split second.

Any tips, or is this normal? I can put up with it, but its a bit annoying.

Quite normal. :( Happens with a lot of players.
Its because the digital connection is not outputting anything during pauze.
The amplifier just has to resync. Can be faster, can be slower, depending on the design.
