    Hi,

I have the mission fs2 speaker package coupled with an old kenwood dolby pro logic amp, sd220 tosh dvd player, and I was thinking of an upgrade to the Cambridge Audio Azur 540R AV Receiver. Any other options for around £300 would be appreciated! Also any comments on the 540r?

    Cheers,
    Pete.

I recently bought the 540R which is a very nice product. The sound is absolutely superb especially for this price.

However, there are still a few annoying bugs which have not yet been fixed by Cambridge and therefore I would advise you to wait a bit before buying the 540R.

Thanks for the reply - what are the current 'bugs'?

The most annoying one is when you connect your DVD player in coax or optical, you loose the 1st second of each track with a brief "tick" sound in all speakers and "unlock" message on screen.
Cambridge hasn't got a fix for it yet as they have difficulties to recreate the problem.
