Cambridge Audio Azur 540R and turntable

Standard Member

We have a Cambridge Audio Azur 540R receiver and would like to connect a turntable (the Project Debut III). While all of the phono inputs are labelled "DVD" and so on, I'm sure I can just use these. However, I don't see an "earth" type connection: does this mean I'll need a pre-amp?

Thanks for any help!

Yes you'll need a phone stage. unless either your turntable or amp has one built in. Can't remember off the top of my head whether the PD3 does
