Hi there.
Having done battle to get onto this forum it looks like there are plenty of bright sparks out there. So, here is my problem: I have a Cambridge A5 - a few years old used with some pretty ancient Wharfdale speakers. On Sunday - and I would like to blame a child who was here - the amplifier stopped working. There was no sudden increase in volume so I don't know if I can blame the innocent child(!). There is no power light coming on but when you switch on the amp, you can hear a humming sound - a bit like it is straining to turn on.
Has anybody got any idea if it is knackered? I would hugely appreciate any advice [I live miles from any audio mending shops].
Thanks in advance,
Bertie
