    Hi all,

I've just bought a Bose Sounddock for my iPOD system. Sounds great but I have noticed that the dock section, which protrudes from the front-centre of the unit, seems a bit loose.

Can any other Sounddock owners let me know what their systems are like before I pack up and take it back to the store please?

    Thanks.

    :lease:

    Hi

Mine seems OK and not loose at all. I agree though that it sounds great. I'd take it back and ask for a replacement.

So in case anyone is interested, I called my local Bose store and they said the movement on the dock section was by design and is an anti-vibration feature... Not believing this fully I also checked a display model on the high street and it moves in the same way, so it looks like my unit is not faulty.

Mine seems okay...I say mine, but I made the mistake of unpacking it at my girlfriends house when I bought it, and listening to it. She has now claimed it as her own! I'm pretty impressed with the sound from such a compact unit, and manages quite well with dynamic solo piano as well as rock and pop. I don't mind letting the g/f have the Bose, as I hadn't seen the Monitor Audio iPod system before I bought it, and it looks quite nice, if a bit large.

If you've been looking at the Monitor Audio system then the new Jamo i300 should be of interest.

Just been awarded 5/5 by What Hifi.
