I will (hopefully) very soon be purchasing the loewe 32" Vitros. Just wanted to know as this is 100hz if it's ok for football through sky digital - i.e. no blurring etc?

One other thing actually - I really don't like the vitros stand and will probably buy a different one instead. Will this affect sound in any way and what kind of stand should I go for?

    thanks a lot!

The Loewe 100Hz processing is up there with the best of them, and indeed better than most :). The likes of football will still not be as clear as it is on a 50Hz set though. Make sure you turn all digital trickery off, the two features you should be concerned about are DMM and DMI modes. Some people like these but I find they just cause more problems.

The Vitros stand isn't great looking IMO. It's certainly not worth the extra £300 or whatever it is. The type of stand you buy will in no way affect the sound quality. Just buy one that you like the lok of and is sturdy enough to support the weight and whatever else you want to put in it. I use a Sound Organisation Z530 from:

Thanks a lot mate - really appreciate the help! One other thing - what colour is your Vitros? I really like the look of Basalt high gloss tbh.:D

    Cheers!

I don't have a Vitros, but if I did I would get the Basalt model.

I have a Light Stratos Metallic Aconda :).

£1200 would certainly be a great price. If you have any questions when you get it, just let us know :).

I agree the Vitros stand is a lot of money for an ugly unpractical stand.

I quite like the Alphason stands which can be found at http://www.robinsonselectric.co.uk/alphason.htm] certainly a lot more reasonable than the Vitros stands and plenty of room on some for all your Home Cinema bits if you want.

I have an Aventos and watching football could see none of the usual 100Hz nasties typical of many mainstream sets that mess the picture. Indeed its better by quite a margin over the Toshiba 32ZD26P I had before and I think thats considered one of the best.
