Welcome to this week's game of 'ID my PJ Screen' :D

I bought a screen off a friend the other month and have had no luck identifying the manufacturer. My friend bought it in Germany but cannot remember where. Some details:

    - electric with up / stop / down buttons
    - there was a remote control but my friend has misplaced it
    - 286 cm long in a hexagonal white case
    - 16:9 aspect ratio
    - it appears to have end stops but either they are not calibrated or they are knackered
    - the only distinguishing feature, I think, is the end caps on the case are screwed in with fairly cheap and nasty fixings.
    - the case is unbranded and the circuit board on the control box is unmarked
    - the only  branding is on the mains cable from the control box to the screen, it says L&A

I know this is all a bit vague, so I guess you see my problem. If anyone can give some clues on how I can find out who made this, please let me know.

Primarily I am after the IR codes and the user guide on how to adjust the end stops.

    Cheers,
    Gav

Would be easier if we could see a picture.
    Is this possible?

Gav, from your description it sounds very much like it could be a screen from HCSV. look here http://www.hcsv.co.uk/shop/catalog/remote-screens-c-54_66.html If you have a universal remote, I am sure someone will be able to supply you with the correct codes. I have the codes for a Pronto RU980 if they will help. Regards, Ian.

Just a slight correction HCSV are a distributer of the screens in the uk (one of many), Exculsiv-home Cine-Screen ( based in Germany) are the manafactures, but I agree it sounds like an HCSV / Exculsiv screen.

End stops are like most screens, two screws one adjust stop at the top other alters screen at the bottom.

I no longer have the codes for the IR remote as I didn't keep the screen for very long. The guy that runs HCSV is pretty nice he may be able to supply you with the pronto codes if you talk to him nicely :)

Thanks for the info chaps, a pretty good guess. :smashin:

Looking at the Exclusiv website these screens are certainly very similar however mine does not have the Ethernet port nor IR receiver in the casing.

However, does anyone know if Exclusiv did other models a few years ago? I wonder if I've got one of their pre-Ethernet models.

I'll try and post a pic.

    Hi Ian,

That's great  I have a ProntoPro RU970. Is it possible to PM the codes?

    Cheers,
    Gav

Does look like a Exclusiv v3/4 screen.

The ethernet port and revised remote were added to the v5 screens ( currently on sale).

Well cybrey I think you have won the prize for identifying my PJ screen  - doing a bit of surfing and it is almostly definately a Cinescreen although not sure which version.

You can be proud of your projector screen prowess

Again, a good example of the quality AVForums and its members.

    Thanks all,
    Gav
