Callback Problem

This was my first post and out of 99 views only got 1 reply

Finally had a technical support guy call me today
My digi box would not complete a callback but could book sky games pass go online and cdwow etc.

Looks like it is a problem with either the viewing card or the information held at sky.
It was all to do with the protocol when booking movies etc.
You can either book them by calling sky over the phone and speaking to an operative, the other is through the skybox as normal on the remote control.
He said it was something like PLP and OLP.
If the sky card callsback with the information of the movies you have booked and the computer has you down for phoning up yourself and booking then that is where the problem can be.
The callback is rejected and comes up as Callback failed.
Your line and box is ok it is just an information problem.

So getting an engineer out is pointless press them to go down this route first and tell them you can get on line normally.



Got a new viewing card from them and it sems to have fixed theproblem.

i know this as i had to call them as the box just lost 3 weeks of recordings!!

looks like a new box again!!

No idea what this is about. You seem to be referring to a previous post. You should complete that post, not begin a new one.
