Morning all.

I have a fabulous LG OLED65C8 for sale/trade, which had all modes expertly calibrated by AVForums favourite Canary Jules back in Sept 2020. It was purchased in April 2018 new from John Lewis and has the remainder of its 5 year warranty on it. It’s in fantastic condition, from a pet and child free home; no issues whatsoever.

Sadly, as I’m moving house, I’m looking to either sell this set or trade in for a smaller one. Per the subject, if anyone has a 48” LG OLED for sale in equally good condition, I’d be interested in a trade with cash.

If no trades available, I’ll consider selling for £1000.

Collection only from London SE4, please.

Cheers,
Jake

Note:

The TV is currently wall mounted, but the stand is included in this sale.

Calibration report supplied by Canary Jules (of this parish) will also be included.

Hi,
No box I'm afraid. I may consider offers, although I think it's heavily discounted as is :p

Hi buddy,

Based on what others have sold in the past and with my super tight budget I could do £725, maybe £750 max if my arm was squeezed enough. Can even collect today as I'm based in Shirley so you're not even too far.

Also would you know what the warranty situation on this is?

Hi there,

As the TV was purchased from JL 3.5 years ago, it has approximately 1.5 years of warranty left. Price is definitely getting closer to my asking price but I’m not in a huge rush to shift this fantastic TV. I’m surprised it has so little interest so far; ask any calibrator on this board and they’ll tell you that once calibrated the number of HDR nits on this set outweighs the more modern C9, CX and C1 (I know as I was told this about this very TV).

If you will meet me half way at £800, you have a deal.

Note, new sale price is £800.

Cheers!

Ah man, you're killing me 😂 the problem is that I have a LG OLED C6 I think it's called, its from around 2016/2017. The problem is that OLED is soo good it's hard to justify upgrades on them, especially as the blacks have always been pitch black since the technology has come out. So I don't technically need it, I just thought I'd help you out 😊😊 which is why the max I can really do to justify it is £750. Also with no box I'm wondering is there a chance of damage when going over pot holes lol? I can put the back seats down and lay it fully flat on some blankets and pillows but not sure if that'll be sufficient for pot holes.

Tell me about it. I used to own the C6 too - upgraded a size to this and didn’t look back.

£800 really is the lowest I’m prepared to go right now. Bring a few duvets and cushions and you’ll be fine with you car :)

Ah man, you really are killing me haha.

Trust me I'm definitely not trying to insult or take the micky, I really am broke. The most I can full fully stretch too is £765.

Also I have a custom VESA wall mount, so not sure I can even mount it. Would you be able to tell me the dimension from the 2 lower VESA wall mount screw hole, to the bottom surface of the TV. Also when I say bottom surface of the TV I mean where the bottom surface would be once you remove the stand. So just bottom mount hole to bottom of TV. I'm guessing it's around 5" give or take.

Cheers

I’m away on holiday right now but am happy to when I get back at the weekend. However, I’m afraid I really can’t drop below £800 (it cost me over a quarter of that just to get it calibrated).

Ok no worries, that'll give me some time to think to if I should really be zero-ing my account out 😂😂

I’ll take it for £800 and can collect tomorrow.

Just to confirm,

It has 19 months John Lewis Warranty that can be transferred.

It has no screen burn/retention issues.

Comes with Stand and magic remote.

It is in full working order.
