I have an iPhone and my other half has an android mobile. Does anyone use a calendar app (ideally free) that allows you to share diaries with different devices? So if I add something on my iPhone calendar on a particular date it will be seen on the other persons android calendar so we don't double book nights out with mates etc...

I have found UpTo on the app store but not sure if there is better, any recommendations?

Could you set up google calendars and then share things? Google Calendar can be synced with the built in calendar on an iPhone and of course works fine with Android phones. No need for any apps then and gives you the flexibility to add stuff either via your phones or by logging into the Google Calendar website on a PC if need be.

I will have a look, thank you. I assume that automatically changes the calendar on the other device too so two people can share the same calendar?

Yep....should sync changes around when made. I've got a Google calendar that i access via the web on a PC, my iPhone and my iPad. Anything i edit or add on one of the devices will show on the other devices as well pretty much straight away.

Does this involve logging into a Google account to add a calendar entry?

If you access it via the web on a PC you will need to log in although if you use Chrome and log into Chrome then it does it all automatically for you. If you use your iPhone\iPad\Android device then its just a case of adding it into the calendar on the device and things update...no log in to do bar the initial setting up of the device to point it towards the calendar you want.
