    Hi,

I was watching a movie on my pocket PC last night as an experiment. PPC has a 3" 4:3 screen, and was held at about 40-50cm from my eyes. While watching, I noticed that the active image (16:9 cropped) was almost exactly the same size as my 32" widescreen TV, about 3m away.

    That got me wondering.

Is there any way to calculate effective screen size of little screens (like PPC or PSP/DS), as a function of 'TV' size, or how much field of vision they cover?

I'd need to be able to put in screen dimensions and distance from eye I guess.

thanks for any help you can give.

BTW, I didn't know where best to post this, so I chose the most popular forum. Hope its OK here!
