Has anyone heard of them? I know they are a smallish French company, but i cant find anything in terms of reviews or even pictures. I have been offered a K5 5 channel amp for in the region of £900.......any clues as to what it is like? The guy offering it is fairly certain it would better the big rotel, but having never heard it, i have no idea!

    so help please!

I'm guessing no one has heard of them! They are supposedly distributed by forge audio......so do we have anyone related with them comes here?

I have only managed to find little bits of info, but what I have read suggests that cairn ezo stuff is very good vfm. Home entertainment supposedly rated the k5.5 right up beside krell and proceed 5 channelers, which is a very big compliment!

So.......anyone new read this who has any ideas!?

this is getting sad......my second reply to my own post!

but i got some info......home entertainment reviewed it in jan 2000......£1500 for 5 channels, 100w into 8 ohm, modular by design blah blah blah. They reviewed it alongside a parasound 1205A and ranked it higher.....they really did seem to like it!

So should i get one to see just how good it is......

Thats a big snag especially with something costing that much. I would be put off also by the lack of future UK support in the event of any problems with the amp.

The guy who was trying to sell it to me disappeared without trace, so i never bought it and never got to listen. For really high quality amps at cracking prices..... try www.korato.com they dont do multichannel but you could buy 3 class A stereo power amps for 2400euros and i promise you that set up right it would be nearly impossible to beat!

Cairn/Ezo is not distributed by Forge Audio, it is distributed by Audio Illusion and the excellent review the K5.5 received led to a Commendation for Best Luxury Amplifier. It was not only upside the Krell in the review - it beat it!!! with £3.5k to spare!!!!

You should check this amplifier out not only for its performance but its fabulous looks!!!

I was going to buy it, but the guy who was seling it to me disappeared..... so i didnt bother. I ended up with something else which I am very pleased with.

forge audio did at the time claim to distribute or at least sell.....but an irrelevancy

    thanks
