Hi,i'm a newbie concerning cables,so please be gentle with me.I have the following setup : Ferguson 32in Widescreen TV with 2 scarts,SKY Digibox with 2 scarts, thinking of getting SKY+,Philips DVDR80 with 2 scarts, and connected to my Sherwood Amp for that DTS and 5.1 output via,and a Sharp video with 2 scarts.Right, this is what i would like to achieve from this setup, and where your help setting it up will be most appreciated.........I want to record to both Video and DVD Recorder from TV and SKY,and maybe VCR to DVD Recorder.I have tried to follow the instructions with the Philips, but cannot seem to get the system where i want it.I am not too bothered about recording to VCR from DVD,any suggestions please ? ? ?

What happens if you connect the main scart out on the Sky Box to the DVD recorder and then the DVD recorder to the first scart on the TV.

The VCR out scart on the Sky Box should go to the VCR in and the VCR out should be connected to the second scart on the TV

I think that should work but maybe you should be looking at a scart switch box as you are trying to achieve quite a lot with a number of sources that you wish to record to and from but only have two scart sockets.

Have you got Sat Recording on?? I think that may cause it.

Yes,it is actually.I must get an engineer out, have never had a good signal for the TV since i moved here 2 years ago,and i know it isn't the signal itself,as it is fine upstairs,so it must be a problem with the junction box in the loft.
