I've just bought myself a nice new TV and really like the picture quality. The only thing is the quality through SKY. I am only using cheap SCART cables but am wary about spending a small fortune on cables cause I dont think it can be improved. I did splash out though, and bought an S-VID connector for my DVD and I must confess the pictures great.

Will I be wasting my money trying to improve SKY?

No, you won't. Decent SCART cables DO make a difference. I have some decent IXOS ones which I like, but Betterbuy & Thor ae also meant to be good too.

A reasonable scart cable will optimise the pictures that you can receive from Sky but there is no need to go mad. TVcables did have a Thor scart at a very good price which was being promoted via the special offers forum but I wouldn't spend more than that for a Sky connector.
