Not sure where to post this so I'll start here and see how it goes!

I need some short Scart to Scart cables, hi quality (not the highest tho!) I'm hoping I can get half a metre of fully screened OFC with gold plated connects for about £10 to £15.

All I can find is .75m lengths or longer - can anybody point me to a site please? (in the UK)

    Thanks

Try B&Q. They have 0.5m scart to scart leads with gold connectors. Only £5 each !!!!
I bought 4 of them to see how good they were. I must say I am quite impressed with them. OK, they're almost the cheapest around but they did the trick for me until I get better ones at a later date.

Thanks Jonah, your B&Q must be bigger than mine;)

I checked the local DIY stores and Dixons, Curreys, PH and Comet before posting.

I'll be near a Homebase at the weekend, I'll check there.

    http://www.lektropacks.co.uk/buycables.asp

£5.5 for 0.5M fully wired (not OFC) in the standard range
£15 for 0.75M Fully wired in home cinema range
£30 for 0.75M Fully wired in silverscreen range
£24 for 0.5M various types in prolink range
    Looks like P&P is £3 or £5

Maybe use B&Q for a temporary/test set up, but I'd use Lektropacks for a permanent install.
Oh! If you're dead keen on 0.5M, they custom build. Haven't tried that part of the service myself...

Thanks KevinH, I thought the .5m from Lektropacks looked a bit cheap and nasty!

I used to get really good Pro Quality cables from Scottish Power but now they are Power House they have really cut back on their AV cables stocks.

I've got so many bits of kit I cant really use the .75m or 1.0m cables that I already have as they take up so much room at the back of the kit. When I push the stuff back into the cabinet the cables get knocked out slightly.

I believe custom build cables are way over priced so as a compromise I'm looking for the .5m ones!

    Thanks anyway

I don't think Lektropacks will win any awards for their standard stuff*!;)
But I like their silverscreen, and prolink stuff.

    * I think HCSL14 did win a What Hifi award. It's the home cinema fully wired scart.

edit text here: Sorry if I'm guilding the lily but here is the review/award page for that cable.
