new boy so don't loose your cool please

am about to take delivery of a yamaha dsp ax750se - as regards the system as a whole the fronts will be roksan, the centre a cyrus cls50, and the rears rogers db 101's

now i am trying to decide on a cable for the rears given i have a limited budget

a friend who is a true audiophile recons that 1mm electrical cable will perform as well or better than my thought of chord carnival cable - over to you guys

sorry mods if this is on the wrong forum please feel free to move as necessary

I have the same amp and use QED Micro Silver for all my speakers. The main reason for choosing this cable is that it is thin enough to go underneath the carpet and along skirting boards!

However, if you have the money Chord Carnival cable has had rave reviews :)

You may want to have a look at the Cabling forum - there are many long threads discussing using alternatives to official speaker cable and many of the people there swear by using some of these alternatives

The electrical cable will work fine. Save your money and spend it on some DVD's to watch.
