cables for rear speakers - help

    probably going to be in trouble with the mods as i have placed this post on the speakers thread by mistake - sorry my excuse is i'm a bit of a newbie :D

    so where do we start - am about to get a yamaha dsp ax 750se amp - fronts are roksan, centre cyrus cls 50 , rears rogers db101's
    -= dvd is harman kardon dvd 22

    now my mate who is a true audiophile recons 1mm mains electrical cable will perform better than my proposed chord carnival cable for the rears

    i'm on a limited budget

    what are your views
