My lad has some shure headphones and the cable has broken twice now, apart from the original shure cables is there any decent alternatives out there that can be recommended please.

Thanks

It would help if you told us which model of Shure headphones your lad has?

Sorry I thought they all used the same connections? its the SE215.

I have been looking into genuine Shure and over here best I could find was around £40 then stumbled upon an authorised dealer in NY $27 !! half the cost of buying in the uk even with shipping its cheaper but Shure won't allow them to ship outside of the states.. disgusting that they would be so much cheaper over there.

What is the budget then? Also remember when comparing with US prices
- exchange rate
- prices shown may be exclusive of US sales tax
- even if you find an importer have to add UK customs and VAT

I have no experience
Fiio make a cable with same connector but some amazon user reviews say not top notch

I have experience
Linum cable. Problem is that it is too tangly and you need a cable tidy
Forzaaudioworks. Cheaper than others but proprietor slow with comms as it's a small business. Based on your post this is above your budget

Gutted, seems Shure has also put the restraints on Amazon for shipping to the UK will not allow it :(

Think its more the fact Shure have made sellers not ship to the UK, seems its ok same as Apple to charge us more in the UK price fixing at its finest.
