After demoing in the Edinburgh Sevenoaks today I've got my AV setup on order, including my first projector.

Sevenoaks recommended the Optoma H30 and I was very impressed by it in the demo and didn't see any evidence of the rainbow issue, so I've gone with that. It's going to be ceiling mounted so I need to decide how to cable it.

Sources will be a Pioneer DV565A DVD, Sky+, a PS2 and possibly a video (for legacy reasons!). Should I switch all the sources through the amp (a Denon AVR2803) or will that give a noticeable loss in quality.

Also to cable from the projector to the source is running a VGA cable likely to be a reasonable option as it'll be a lot cheaper than a long RGB cable I think.

    Regards
    Steve
