Have had my Plama for a nearly a month and finally got round to channeling the cables into the walls, I've used 3m Scart, component and also VGA/VGA cables, the problem is now the cables are sunk into the wall the Component lead is around 2' short, the other two i'm not concered about as the scart goes to a Quintro and the VGA will go to a js box eventually scarted to the quintro also.
So the question is can i buy a say a 2'-3' extention cable for the component lead , all the cables i've seen are males at each end where i would require male and female ends? would I be best if possible buying the same make of cable as the origanal one. Also will i loose any picture quallity by do this.
    Cheers in advance

Most cables are available Male to Male or Male to Female - in an ideal world you'd avoid any joints where possible; if its not possible then yes probably best to stick with the same cable you've already installed for the extension.

    Best regards

Joe or anyone else for that matter, would i be better buying a length of the existing cable and soldering and shrink wrapping the connections or using quality plug type connections ?

Assuming the installed cable is Male to Male have you supplier make up the Extension cable with Female connects at one end so you simply 'plug' the two cables together.

    Best regards
