    Dear All,
I have connected my dvd player to the tv via svhs cable to scart, i also have a coaxal into the sony db940 amp for the digital sound, the only trouble is when i put the volume up on the tv there is no sound from dvd player, now it worked when i had scart to scart from the player into the tv, is there a setting i need to adjust? reason i ask is on one channle the picture is in black and white and when i scan through to another channel (ycsvhs1)i get a great picture but no sound unless i have the amp on.

    Matthew,

SVHS cables only carry the video signal to the TV and not the sound. In order to get sound from your TV you will also need to connect up the left and right audio phono connectors from the back of your DVD player.
