Cable check

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to do a quick spec check. Esp with regards to the monster cable as it's so cheep/ Can anyone advise? Apoligies to all but there is simply so much stuff out there and i just want to get the best bang for buck cable.

Monster 400 for HDMI: HDMI to DVI Video Cable -2m - £3

Ultimate 1 Metre Gold Plated Optical TOSlink Cable by Cable Mountain - £3.95

Ultimate 2 Metre Gold Plated Optical TOSlink Cable by Cable Mountain - £4.75

First, optical cable do not have electrical contacts so gold plating is pointless. If the cable is good value regardless of this then fine.
HDMI->DVI cable, fine - it's digital either it works or it doesn't. 2m is no problem.
The component cable - the link shows £14.99 btw. Otherwise it looks ok.
Personally I prefer HDMI to component.
