I noticed my Sky+ box had been updated this morning.(fired up to channel 998 etc)

I noticed we have a new background in menus/channel guide.

After a quick mooch around the menus, i came across a nice little surprise!

In setup/picture settings, there is a new option.

    "On-Screen Icon Time out"

I assume this means the red dot times out after a few minutes.(edit:- make that 30 seconds!)
(it will return after adverts, but time out again)

It's a good step forward in preventing screenburn.
(mind you, i've had my Panny 42" for nearly three years now and zero screenburn)

Please ignore if this is old news!!!

    Ps
Anybody know of any other changes?

I believe the red dot timer has been somewhat common knowledge for a while. Especially as Sky Digital boxes were updated first some time ago.
