Maiden and Metallica on the same bill, that would be awesome and well worth the £125.

like metallica have made really good music int he last 10 years lol.

had to cancel going to download and glasto this year as the wifes got a baby on the way to be born mid june. so this sonisphere might be a good one to go to.

so far got sonisphere and shrewsbury folk festival, a bit different lol.

Couldn't agree with you more :rotfl:(Sorry, I had to do that.)

I'm a Bit disappointed with Def Leppard being named as headliners to be honest, here's hoping for some more Metal bands to be announced for download, although saying that Kiss were highly enjoyable last year.

Yeah Death Magnetic is one of the best albums of last year and one of metallica's best albums.
And Def Leppard don't need anything new, hell just play the whole "Vault" album live and that would do !

The article on the OP mentions Maiden as linked to Sonisphere along with Linkin Park and Guns N Roses.

Machinehead pulled out, Sonisphere stiffed them and tried to put Limp Dipstick on before them

    Why did FF pull out?

Not sure why, think it was something to do with legal issues or new album issues
Sucks though, only seen Fear Factory once and would love to see them again :lease:

FF pulled out to record some new material (always the most irritating and disresepctful excuse a band can give). Also not playing

Thin Lizzy (singer/guitarist walked out on band!)
The Sword (tired from all the touring, the poor lambs)
Machine Head (thrown toys out of pram as Limp Bizkit put above them)

Anthrax almost cancelled too after sacking their new singer, but they managed to get John Bush back in the band for a one off gig at the last minute

I'm still looking forward to the weekend, but all these cancellations have hardly made the festival value for money
