Just been to 7oaks and got a price match on a panny 6:)

So Iwas wondering, if can get it from PRC Direct for 2899 is it really worth mucking about online for just under a couple of hundred quid

    I'm thinking faulty displays/return etc....

    What do you guys reckon?

Having gone down the route last year I'd say its worth the extra dealing with a specialist.

Just thought I would add my experiences.
Bought a panny6 recently from Liam over at AVSales. The screen arrived when promised, but upon opening the box the screen was smashed in about half a dozen places and severely damaged. One quick phonecall, and it was immediately arranged for the plasma to be collected by the muppets that damaged it (CityLink) and a replacement delivered by a different courier (TNT) the next day. The replacement dully arrvied at 8am the following morning, and I haven't looked back since.

So yes, if you use the right companies that actually give a toss about their customers, then not only is the saving most welcome, but the knowledge, advice and after sales service can be second to none. Would highly recommend AV-Sales for all of the above :smashin:

Very Very good point. I was gonna go for AV Sales, but Nexnix bundles the component/scart card into the deal. Thus I will probibly use Nexnix.

Who did you price match with SevenOaks?

I'd avoid the SCART Terminal Board - I find it too soft with RGB sources.

If your planning on a new AV Amp and DVD why not convert your Digibox RGB to YUV and switch YUV through the AV Amp (I'm assuming you'll go for a DVD with YUV out) and then straight to the VGA port on the PWD6 display and if you need the VGA port for a PC add the lower cost YUV Board or a second VGA Board.

    Best regards

    Joe

PhilB - we don't offer any "price matching" services, we prefer to just give you a very good deal coupled with our comprehensive pre and post sales sevice :D We don't automatically bundle a scart board but our price with scart is compeititive i'm sure! Tis a shame we haven't got any 2011's left though.......

Lydecker - AFAIK Nexnix bundle the component/RGBHV/SVHS/CVBS board (2 slots) on the black PWD6, and include a scart on the silver PWD6. Neither of these options is both component AND scart (although the VGA socket is also component configurable if you're not connecting a PC). It's all very confusing aint it
