I am currently in the market for a new TV. I have been looking at the LG OLED 77CXPUA for the numerous high ratings it has received. The distance from the TV to my viewing area is not a problem and I could accommodate a 85" TV. My price range is around $3500 and the LG OLED 77CXPUA is currently available for around $3300. Would it make sense to purchase a TV with a larger screen like a 85" Sony X950H or Samsung 85" Q80T that are also still in my price range. The tradeoff may be the OLED quality, but I would be getting a larger picture with the Sony or Samsung.

Depends on what is important to you - size or quality.

Quality every time.

Much easier to move your sofa/chair a bit closer than have to replace your TV because you discover you're not happy with the picture quality. ;)

OLED all the way.
