    Hello,

I'm buying my first ever TV - and am quite conscious that a lot of advice (and reviews) are very time-oriented, so an out-of-date review isn't very helpful. I was hoping for some advice on where to start!

    I'm looking for:
    • 37/40 inch and up
    • Around £400-500
    • Able to stream media from PCs (is it DLNA?)
    • Full HD (but not 3D)
And I don't really need other flashy extras and add-ons.

Would any of you have advice as to where to start with this kind of thing? I was making a spreadsheet, but so many websites haven't got all the information on them in the specifications.

    Thanks!

There are plenty of reviews for 2011 models on here, HDTV test, CNet etc

    Samsung 40D5520 has network stuff

Samsung UE40D5520/ UE32D5520 LED LCD TV Review

For Sony & Samsung, better to go 40" than 37"

Your budget will be a limiting factor to some extent for that screen size
