Has anyone any comments on these guys. I'm all ready to buy a Samsung 45l6  but am unsure of buying online as their nearesy office is in Scotland.
I.m a bit concerned if the set goes wrong what the procedure is.
Any comments would be appreciated, I was hoping to buy one this afternoon. (If in stock)

Ring them first before you order anything because they never have any stock. I waited over a month for the Samsung SP46L6HX and ended up cancelling because they were so useless at getting stock in. Even if they say they'll have stock in next week I wouldn't reccommend ordering with them as they said that every week for 4 straight weeks with me. Unless they say they have stock NOW I would look elsewhere. Curry's get stock in every week so I don't know why they have so much trouble getting any, I can only assume they are a very low priority for the suppliers.

Same experience here, they also take the money on order not on dispatch. Wasn't impressed at all and the phone service wasn't exactly polite either.

just called Robertsons, and they have told me there is a problem with their accounts program  and they can not give me any info on when they are getting any more stock in. Think i may give them a miss as it appears they may be a bit flexible with their delivery dates. Started looking at the sony 3 Lcd number that a few people have raved about.

Looking at your sig I seem to be in the same boat as you. I was going for the SP46L6 or 50 but due to stock shortages I'm going to take my xbox and view the Sony KDFE50A12 tonight to check for gaming lag.

Did you try the SP46L6 with your Xbox Beertiger? Was there any lag? Someone on rllmuk says there is :(

I am also trying to decide between the two but was put off by the Sonys showing in Comet.

bought SP46 from them but did have to wait 3 weeks. Bought with buy now pay later option, maybe you get preference ordering this way, dont quote me but after ordering i was on the phone to them every week asking where it was in a very nice and polite manner . Think this got me a result

Their reply today was pretty much a 'don't know' and 'can't help you any further' answer. As i need a tv in about 3 weeks i think i may go into a white goods mover and buy one or go with the Sony 3 LCD set.

Well I went and tried the Sony today with FIFA 06 at 1280x720, upscaled movies using xbox media centre including a HD clip of Shark Tale and 1943, Mars Matrix and Metal Slug to check for video lag.

After tweaking the settings in store and seeing how well it performed I bought it. No rainbows for anyone and style wise it's better than the other set I was going for.

This was a couple of years ago, so not sure what they are like now, but I bought a washing machine and tumble dryer from them and found the service to be very good and happily recommended them to people.

Robertsons Online business will close if it hasn't already. So for obvious reasons don't order anything from them online. By the way i bought my SP46 from them. service was good apart from waiting for 4 weeks for it to arrive

I was lucky to get my TV by the looks of it. They have gone into administration, they are closing the internet business and 7 retail outlets. Keep a track on them to ensure you get your money back. No one will be buying from them on the internet again anyway.
