Can anyone tell me the best place for buying cables on line without breaking the bank ? ( I think there is more money behind my AV-gear then in my bank)

The sony componet cable I picked up when buying my 735 player could be better.

http://www.htcustomcables.com/ seem to be quite good, i havn't tried them yet but i've heard some good things..

Only draw back is there in Australia :) Free shipping on all orders over AUD$100 (about £35) though..

About 9 months ago a mate of mine bought a s/h Nordost Red Dawn Interconnect from Fatwyre in the states.

They retail in the uk for approx £300 (i know cos i got 2 myself)

He bought his for $145 US$, shipping was about another 30 bucks, it took less than 10 days and looked brand new - bargain.

    Could be worth checking

    Happy hunting, David

    www.hifistore.co.uk

Got all my cables from them, good range of QED and IXOS. Excellent service as well. This was about 6 months ago but I recommend.
