    Hi,
I posted this earlier and it seems to have disappeared!
I have a budget of £1000.00 absolute max. I would like some advice based on the following info.
Decent sized lounge. 40 or 42" screen. Not side mounted speakers. Mainly watching standard definiton freeview broadcasts, ordinary DVD's, etc. Possibilty of upgrading to a higher quality DVD player in the future. Not going to spen a fortune on surround sound, etc.
I would love to hear advice from owners of sets that use them for everyday use, TV, films, etc.
What should I buy? I think I have a short list based on Reviews, but some first hand advice would be priceless.
thank you in advance for your help.
    Nick:thumbsup:

Get the Panasonic PX70 or Samsung Q97.

Both are good sets, but from personal experience i feel the PX70 has smoother images that the Q97 and has slightly magenta snakes than the Q97.

When watching some black & white movies the Q97 still shows some light purple snakes the PX70 doesnt.

There are a LOT of threads on this very subject. Rather than going over old ground, can I ask you, please, to do a search here and see for yourself what people have already said on the subject.
