    MAL,

We need more info. What model is it.

Incidentally if it's a crt, is it 100hrs (almost new) 1000hrs( still not particualrily distressing) or 10,000hrs (possibly a problem)

I'm not sure but I think that's a Davis cloned DLP. If so I'd look a thow much Davis's are new and work it out form there.

100hrs on a lamp that lasts 2000hrs isn't much is it. With a full warranty you've got to be looking at more than £1000 I'd guess.

    Mal,
If it is the SDV100 then it should be no more than about 15 months old. We didn't start to import them until Autumn 1999.

Although the SDV100 is based on the Davis Cinema One chassis, there were improvements made to the colour wheel to give greater colour accuracy and colour depth.

Incidentally, the SDV100 responds realy well to a scaler or HTPC input. We showed the SDV100 combined with a Quadscan scaler at the CEDIA show in Brighton (May 2000) to great effect. This route is well worth investigating.

    Regards
