Pretty simple question, I am looking to purchase a Sony 55XE9005 and I noticed the Sony store offer a refurbished one for £1049 which is quite tempting however it only has a 1 year warranty.

On the other hand there are deals about for brand new sets ranging from £1349 with £250 back in vouchers to £1239 with a free sound bar worth £250 and they come with a 5 year warranty.

I am torn and can't make my mind up but if someone had any experience buying a refurbished set it could make the decision easier.

At that price I would buy the new tv and sell the sound bar if it isn't wanted

I thought that but eBay seems to be flooded with the sound bars so afraid of getting stuck with it.

Keep hold of it until the free promotion ends then stick it on ebay as an ideal xmas present
