Buying a Prog Scan DVD Player in the US

OK - first post so be gentle!

I am in the US with work for about a month and have noticed that Prog Scan DVD players out here are really cheap.

I haven't research the models yet but average retail price is under $150 = £100

I am totally sold on the benefits of Progressive Scan and am aware that PAL Progressive Scan DVD player are over £400 in the UK.

So, if I bought a US DVD Player what would be the limitations?

Clearly I could only play region 1 DVD's but I can live with that.

I would also be restricted to watching on a NTSC display. This is not a problem as I hope to get a Sony HS-10 projector while out here (but that is whole different posting ins a whole different forum!).

There are the power issues which should be easy enough to fix with an adaptor (an maybe a transformer?).

Is there anything I have missed?

If you can sort the adaptor then there should be no problems.

Lots of etailers here do R1 DVDs quite cheap also, so again not a problem.

Go for it:D
