Buying a nexus 6 cheap from Gumtree tomorrow and wonder if there's anything I have to be aware of apart from it being factory reset?
I read you have to make sure it is not associated with any previous Google account is this correct. It is boxed with charger etc and any advice is greatly appreciated thanks?

Are you buying from a trusted seller? Even if you are check this thread here

Bought iPhone on eBay, now blocked

Doesn't guarantee it won't get blocked or something else night happen. That's the biggest risk imo buying second hand phones is that the seller may decide to pull an insurance claim after selling it on and in some cases it's not the person you bought from but the person they bought it from so you're a bit further down the chain but affected with no easy resolution.

Maybe running a checkmend report to see if phone is legit might be useful, get imei from seller first.

If it's an online shop then you may have more recourse but could still find yourself with a brick weeks or months down the line. Just something to be aware of. Best of luck.

    Thanks

    Saf

Thanks saf it's a private sale and I am not sure about it in two minds I think I will leave it after some more thought and still fairly content with my Samsung galaxy s5 apart from a hairline crack on the screen. : )

Sounds like a sensible decision mate. The s5 is a great phone, hopefully you'll get an upgrade soon :)

Think so upgrade due in July so not the end of the world I might have a go at replacing the glass screen but think that might be tricky but that's for another thread thanks.

I'd be concerned about waking up in a bath tub full of ice with a kidney missing. Wouldn't touch Gumtree for anything!

Hi, thank you for your post and welcome to the forums. I see you only joined yesterday so may not be familiar with how the forum works.

Please don't ask for a 'like' or 'thanks' or any other positive rating. It's against the forum etiquette and spirit. I'm sure if any post you make is found useful then you'll be left a rating without asking.

    Thanks

    Saf

PS after checking the link it goes to a gumtree item which the seller is wanting to avoid so not sure why you would link to that.
