I'm considering buying a Foxconn NT-A3500 bare bones system in the UK, but none of the big stores\websites seem to stock it (Maplins, Dabs, and so on).

There are small retailers and websites with it on, but I'm wary of using somebody that I don't know\trust fully. Especially as some of them seem to have wildly varying prices.

Does anybody have any recommendations of a reliable stockist, preferably one that you know us good for returns\warranty issues?

    What is a good price?

I've seen some selling it for £145, and others selling it for over £250

I saw that, but if you look closer it's not being sold by Amazon at all. It's being sold by a company called Gamseek, who I've never heard off. Using the Amazon website as a store front.

I Googled them and they got some really bad reviews from customers.

This is one of the things that confuses me. They are selling it for almost £70 less than some other sellers. Does this mean that it's just a really good deal, or is there something else I should know?

    I have trust issues.

I would say, you are pretty safe going through Amazon.

I had a problem with Dabs years ago, you will always find someone not happy with one company or other.

Personally, I use lots of different sellers online. Perhaps I'm just very trusting. Use a credit card with Paypal for extra safety.

As for price differences, check the small print, as to the exact spec.

An example I was looking at was a Revo RL 100

Acer RL100 3D BLUERAY PC HOME ENTERTAINMENT CINEMA DESKTOP DUAL CORE FAST NEW | eBay

    £299

    Or Acer Aspire Revo RL100 3D Nettop - Nettops | Ebuyer.com

    £526

Fortunately, this is a bare bones system. It doesn't come with RAM or a Disc, or an OS. So as long as it says A3500 on the box it will be the same spec.

I'm not at all trusting, I'm afraid. I'd prefer a big company. All of the companies that were mentioned above got terrible write ups from people. Particularly for sellilng stuff that they didn't actually have in stock and then taking ages to deliver the goods, and having rubbish customer services. One of the ones mentioned above doesn't even have customer services on a weekend.
