I'm having some building work done on my house and am having a dedicated AV/HiFi room built

Now I'm not really up to speed on this sort of thing so would appreciate any help

What I would like is an HDTV compatible plasma 42"
DVD player/recorder with Hard drive preferably
    A good (ish)surround sound system
A good (ish) Audio CD player (if this can be combined in the above all the better
    Not really bothered about VHS
Will be using a SKY digital box
PQ is very important so I would need component connectors ?

Budget is 2-2.5k, I can wait a month or two as room is still being built so would be interesten in anything being released in the near future

Howabout the Pioneer 435XDE or the new Panasonic TH-42PV500 out in May. Both are compatible with SkyHD and next generation HD DVD/Blu-ray. Not sure if your £2500 budget is just your plasma or the whole set-up.
