Ok, Im deciding to get all new kit :

    Heres what I want -

Panasonic PWD6 (the one on special offer at the moment at avsales!0
    KEF KHT 2005.2 egg speakers
    Pioneer 565a
And a new home cinema amp.

The only thing im wondering in, as this will be built in stages - what do I get first?

Will I realistically be able to get this panasonic plasma for any less say 6 months down the line?

Just dont know what to buy first, the display of the AV stuff, can anyone shed any light? Are plasma prices coming down drastically?

    Cheers!

Prices steady for about the last 2 months now, you'll be lucky to see more than another £50-£100 off the price of a PW6, then only if sterling holds up well.

If you can stand £50 buy now. If you think £ will ascend giddy heights in the money markets, hang on. Most of my clients are better qualified than me in this respect, they all sell money for a living, perhaps I should ask a 2nd opinion.

Im not worried about £50 - the real issue for me is will the 6 series that im after be around for much longer? Its the one I really want, and at a decent price too!

    Unlight,

PW7 is expected launch in end of 2004, but who knows how big improvement it will be and at what price.

PW6's price decrease won't go down that fast anymore. Even in HK, the pricing on PW6 has been stable in the last 2 months. It won't drop that much more.

Regarding dvd player, 575 has replaced 565 and it is already cheaper than 565, some retailers are starting to sell it for £160, but as soon as more retailers start to stock them £120 should be reachable.

Home cinema amp - Denon 3805 - hot favorite here now - and Creative's package has a pretty good price £1440 with 2yr warranty. http://www.creative-audio.co.uk/3805KHT.htm

Loose it will cost £800 anyway for Kef's from authorized dealer, and £800 for 3805. Even Denon 2805 (very similar specs) cost £530.
